XMOD Technologies is a EDA/Third party company providing software and services to semiconductor industry. XMOD provides solutions for advanced compact device modelling, characterization and parameter extraction. Through high added value services and software, XMOD enables analog and mixed signal designers to develop next generation, high performance ICs quickly and easily. XMOD software and services are used in the semiconductor industry including IDM, IC foundries, and fabless design houses to solve their most challenging simulation and design issues.
Within the DOT7 project, XMOD is involved in performing electromagnetic simulations, advanced model parameters extraction and new modeling methodologies for the SiGe HBT technologies developed by the other project partners. Especially, XMOD will focus on compact (electrical) modeling aspects for very high frequency applications, targeting physics based scalable methodologies, in order to achieve high accuracy as well as relevant predicting capabilities, which is crucial for technologies under development.
Bertrand Ardouin received the MS and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Bordeaux 1, France in 1998 and 2001 respectively. His research activities were SiGe HBTs advanced modelling and characterization. In 2002, he has been one of the co-founder of XMOD technologies where he is currently the Manager and R&D director. Dr Ardouin is a member of the IEEE-BCTM CAD/Modeling subcommittee from 2006-2012.
Christian Raya received the MS and Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering in 2004 and 2008 respectively from the University of Bordeaux 1. In 2008, He joined XMOD Technologies as a characterization and modeling engineer, where he is in charge of Bipolar and HBT and EM simulation related activities.
Aydine Modjtahedi received the MS degree in electrical engineering from the University of Bordeaux 1, France and the MBA in industrial purchasing from Business School of Bordeaux, France, in 1996 and 2000 respectively. In 2000 he joined AMI Semiconductor as device reliability engineer & in 2004 he joined XMOD Technologies as modelling Engineer and Technical Marketing Manager.
